Nicki Minaj Retains Fashion Diva Status in Her New Video "Your Love"

Ever since the "Harajuku Barbie" comment, Nicki Minaj has built herself up to be an urban fashion icon, rivaling other women in her industry like Lil' Kim. She's recently been notorious for her funky and outrageous outfits that I've even heard the phrase "Ghetto Lady Gaga" thrown around.

I like to call myself "well-rounded" and say I listen to "all kinds of music" - and I'm know I'm not the only one - but her usual sound isn't my cup of tea. That still didn't stop me from clicking PLAY on "Your Love" over at PerezHilton.com.

And I liked it!

From the concept to the music to the costumes, Nicki delivered a timeless love story with a beautiful ballad. The first outfit she wears does remind me of a cross between the Jedis' and Lady Gaga. But the large, structured, geometric top has pretty much become a staple in Pop and High Fashion so there's no use crying "CopyCat" anymore.

I don't think I've ever seen ninjas that could walk the runway...

The video style is very reminiscent of House of Flying Daggers, Hero, and my favorite Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, complete with the "epic battle scene". Have I got you interested? Then watch below.
