In an effort to make work suck less, I'm dressing a little bit cuter, adding some style... fashion makes me feel good. "...Nothing screams work other than a blazer..." That's very true in my opinion. But the prescription-less Ralph Lauren glasses - seriously? If you do your job right, you won't need glasses to look smart.
As an eye-slave to glasses for over 10 years, it's annoying for people to think GLASSES = SMART. They are necessary tools to function. Yes, they can be cute and they can be fashionable and some people who need them are pretty smart, but don't use them if you don't need them. You make the rest of us look bad.
